NEWS | I Have A Dream...About Writer's Residencies

For some time my dream has been to live 4 to 6 months in a cheap country with decent internet facilities and just work on my writing.

Lately I have begun researching writer residencies in Australia and overseas.

With all the upheaval in the Middle East and a recent unexpected change in employment circumstances, I am still no closer to identifying a country that equates to the budget I have in mind.

For cheap living, Turkey, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam or Cambodia are options. Morocco or Eastern Europe are also possible.

If thinking of India, I have it on good advice from Cilla that Bangalore's weather is great , which is of interest to me 'cos I hate the heat.

International writer residencies are usually places where any artist can stay, sometimes free of charge, to work on their creative project.
