Seeking expressions of interest | Co-producer or executive producer
Bring to life ‘The Contract’ - the first project from script incubator ‘A Fistful of Scripts’.
Project possibilities? Take your pick: Stand-alone project | pitch project to present to commercial networks | web-series in 3 parts | TV series in 6 parts.
Producers interested in this project or in it's entirety overall are welcome to register interest.
I am building a pitch document to target these industry sectors and organisations. The list is by no means exhaustive or final. Yet each would have their own demand for quality content to fill the voracious appetites of their social media pages.
Expertise and success as co-producers or executive producers preferred. Must enjoy working in a professional, collaborative manner outside the square and beyond the usual funding models.
In April 2011, ‘A Fistful of Scripts’ presented ‘The Contract’ as a short play in a cold reading format. At 12 minutes in length, the audience was thoroughly captivated and engaged to the point of insisting the script was better suited to a TV series format.
Amazingly, the talented cast remain fully committed to the project, ready and raring to go (given sufficient notice among other things).
WHO

Callumny Films is interested in speaking with those successful at gaining corporate sponsorship and funding models outside conventional fund raising such as crowdfunding or soft government money (i.e grants) - For example: past Corporate sponsors could be Mercedez Benz, Bully's Beef, Telstra, Bonhams Fine Art, Medina Hotel, Various wineries, Phoenix International Film Services to name a few.
Producers interested in this project are welcome to register interest via the casting call for crew. Expertise and success as co-producers or executive producers preferred. Must enjoy working in a professional, collaborative manner outside the square and beyond the usual funding models. Melbourne-based applicants preferred, interstate crew must travel & accommodate themselves at own expense.
Primarily, I am seeking a DOP to help bring this project to life. I need help accumulating location footage and sound around stations such as Blackburn, Heatherdale and various stations along the Frankston line which are being torn apart, dug up and rebuilt.
It means initially I need the DOP and soundie on board with their own equipment for at least two days of location filming. Whether crew stay on to shoot the indoor scenes with the cast is up to you.
WHAT
The script is available for review.
In terms of project outcome, the script works equally well as a stand-alone item, a pitch to present for consideration to commercial networks or at the very least a web-series in 3 parts. Take your pick.
Either way you’ll get an IMDB credit.
Being set in the construction industry and particularly around train stations undergoing a rebuild, Melbourne is rife with opportunities to capture construction crews at work in an observational, documentary format.
The purpose being to have footage on hand for titles and end credits. Also to help add context and/or act as ‘fillers’ and/or ‘padding’ to enhance the scripted scenes, overall story, it’s setting and add real-world realism.
Available upon application at our BLOG site, please see stills provided in the Youtube trailers compiled into teasers. These stills aim to provide plenty of guidance as to the tone and style I am seeking to portray overall. Note, while the stills are evocative they lack action.
HOW MUCH?
Paid gig.
As far as remuneration goes for this pitch project I am looking to go way outside square and beyond the usual standard box and dice funding models, which will be discussed with successful applicants.
WHY NOT?
It’s ambitious. But - per the details below – much of the groundwork has already been done.
I feel that 'The Contract' may well offer opportunities in branded content exposure for social media pages in the corporate space. So - there's only one way to find out.
Callumny Films feels now is the ideal time to bring to life ‘The Contract’ as the first project from the incredibly successful, respected and well-received series: ‘A Fistful of Scripts’. The script incubator began mid-2010 running at Theatreworks, St Kilda during the outstanding tenure of General Manager Dan Clarke, who has now moved onto bigger, greener commercial pastures at The Melbourne Arts Centre.
