FILM | Casting News Found In A Dream With Ethiopian Flavour

Melbourne actor Sean McIntyre has been confirmed as the latest cast member in 'Found In A Dream', Helen Kasser's independent feature film debut as writer and director.

Shooting will commence March 27 2016 in Melbourne with lead cast filming at additional locations in Ethiopia for the final scenes.

The film tells the story of Abeselom, a Melbourne drug dealer whose world is rocked when he falls in love with an Ethiopian woman.  Reminding him of his heritage, she forces him to make a decision between his love for her and his love for money.

As 'Uncle Mark', Sean McIntyre plays an aggressive, racist drunken farmer. As the black sheep of the family he is lazy, lacks motivation and is often eager to cause trouble. Although having experienced a hard life himself, 'Uncle Mark' is suspicious of Abeselom's financial success from illegal activities. Driven by jealousy, he plots revenge against his nephew.

The project showcases many of the multicultural aspects and diversity Melbourne is famous for. In particular it shines a rare spotlight onto the lives of immigrants and migrants as well as the challenges they face when building a new life in a foreign land.  Embedded within the story is a universal tale about what happens to those who choose the dangerous path less traveled in life.

Shooting of the feature film will continue throughout April 2016.
