Lounge Theatre has been launched in Melbourne. A series of plays, it is a start-up theatre project inspired on the work previously presented by "Teatro de Cerca" (www.teatrodecerca.com) to sell-out audiences in Spain.
Performed in a lounge room in front of a small audience, the plays are of a very intimate nature, giving both actors and audience a unique experience of physical and emotional closeness.
Containing scenes of high drama and comedy, these unique presentations of ‘micro-theatre’ employ an intense character study to explore the lives of two high-school friends who haven't seen each other for years.
As the men/women recount and share their life experiences, the audience is drawn into a journey through their career achievements, regrets and struggle to maintain a balanced family life in a fast-changing world.
An experienced creative team is behind Lounge Theatre.
